This is another superb product made from hemp: our hemp oil for food use, a valuable extract of hemp seeds, rich in beneficial properties and excellent for cooking.
We produce our oil from the pressing of legal cannabis plantations that we grow organically in our 400 square meters Dolomiti BioHemp Green House in the mountains of Trentino. As a result, we get a very pure hemp oil for food use, extremely valuable for the well-being of our organism.
Only 1 or 2 teaspoons per day are in fact enough to strengthen our immune system and prevent:
- respiratory system diseases such as asthma,
- skin blemishes and rashes such as acne and pimples thanks to its anti-inflammatory action,
- muscular and osteoarticular system discomfort such as muscle tension and spasms, alleviated by the relaxing effect of hemp,
- metabolic or cardiovascular disorders ameliorated by the balancing powers of the product
Hemp oil: its nutritional values
If we take a look at the composition of hemp oil, we can see that it has quite high nutritional values. It is mostly made up of triglyceride fats and 10% saturated fats. It is also a major source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), the essential Omega 3 acid. Indeed, it is one of the few substances with the perfect ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 (about 3:1).
When it comes to hemp oil, it is highly appreciated as it can be taken as a natural supplement. Not only does it provide the optimal amount of Omega 3 and 6, but it is also rich in fatty acids and has a good amount of amino acids, vitamins, phytosterols and minerals.
Moreover, despite being a hemp derivative, it is 100% free from tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the active principle responsible for euphoria and narcotic effects. Therefore, it does not lead to any psychomotor alteration, but it just provides beneficial effects.
Hemp oil: tips for cooking and tasty recipes
Hemp oil is excellent for cooking and it is suitable for many different applications. However, it should always be served raw in order to preserve its many beneficial and nutritional properties. Moreover, since it has a low smoke point, it should never be used for frying.
However, hemp oil can be used in many ways: it can be added at the end of cooking, tossed in with a sauce, or used as a garnish.
You can use hemp oil to season both hot and cold dishes and this is definitely the best way to appreciate all its organoleptic properties. In fact, it is excellent as a dressing for salads, cereals or vegetables. Besides, if you are looking for an original seasoning, you can always try hemp oil on a bruschetta as a substitute for olive oil. Alternatively, it can be added to smoothies or extracts and even to tea or coffee. It only takes a few drops to have a powerful natural charge.
The difference between olive oil and hemp oil
Hemp oil or olive oil? That is the question!
It depends on your personal taste: classic evo oil has a more neutral flavor, while food hemp oil has a unique nutty taste.
However, if you are looking for a supplement of Omega 3 and 6, the optimal choice falls on hemp oil, as it is the only product able to offer the ideal ratio.
Especially in the beginning, if you are not used to hemp oil, you can always dilute it with olive oil and fully enjoy the nutritional properties of both.
